About: International School of Brussels
Founded in 1951, International School of Brussels is a private, not-for-profit co-educational day school, educating students from Nursery through to Grade 12 in IB DP and International curriculum.
Accredited with Council of International Schools (CIS) and Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSACS), ISB is proud to be one of the top international schools in Brussels. With a community of 1350 students aged 3-18 from 70 countries, ISB is a learning community driven by a powerful mission of creating international citizens and independent learners in an environment in which everyone is included, challenged, and successful.
ISB seeks faculty and staff who are committed to seeing each of its students succeed and are focused on building a team of teachers, leaders and administrative professionals who bring passion and professionalism each day to their work.
Ethos: International School of Brussels
International School of Brussels is where opportunity and interest intersect. Students come to ISB school from around the globe – with different interests and strengths – all to embark on a journey that lasts a lifetime. ISB believes that students are not defined by just one thing, but by all of their interests and ideas combined.
ISB challenges its students to be independent learners, empowering them to become articulate communicators, curious scientists, and creative artists. More than a mission statement, this is reinforced in IBS’s curriculum as early as Kindergarten. ISB understands that students learn best when they have ownership of their learning. By the time ISB students reach upper school they are true advocates for their own learning, making independent choices while being fully supported on their journey.
From the classroom, to the fields, to the theatre and music halls – ISB students reach their potential by exploring and discovering all of their interests in new and exciting ways that will forever change their futures, preparing them for a happy, successful, and socially responsible life at and beyond school.
