Welcome to Aga Khan Mzizima Secondary School, the first private secondary school established in Tanzania following the Arusha Declaration in 1967.

At our institution, we are dedicated to providing a top-notch education to all students, empowering them to become responsible global citizens, future leaders, and achieve their life goals. To cater to the diverse needs of our community, we offer three curricula: the International Curriculum (PYP, Cambridge Lower Secondary Curriculum, IGCSE, and IBDP). Our Primary School features the Primary Years Programme (PYP), while the International Section of the Secondary School offers the Cambridge Lower Secondary Curriculum, International General Certificate for Secondary Education (IGCSE), and the two-year pre-university course, the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IBDP).

Rooted in the IB philosophy, our International curriculum aims to prepare well-rounded learners, emphasizing both academic excellence and spiritual wisdom. To achieve this objective, we not only focus on students' academic accomplishments but also encourage their active participation in sports, community service, creativity, and various activities throughout the entire school.

Since the 1980s, we have been at the forefront of educational innovation in Dar-es-Salaam, pioneering the introduction of inquiry-based learning methodologies and the integration of Information Technology (IT) into all aspects of school life.
