We’re thrilled to announce some long-awaited updates coming to the Schrole app! The way we capture and store candidate profile information has changed as we make way for Schrole’s new Universal Profile.
Updates to Schrole Connect profiles
The following updates have been applied to existing Schrole candidate profiles:
Standardised phone number and international dialing codes (previously a single field).
Addresses are now classified as ‘Residential’, Permanent’, or ‘Postal’. The system will build a residential address history over time.
Skype contact details have been retired.
Partners are no longer captured as dependents.
Improved capture and storage of:
Qualifications (previously a single “name” field)
Organisations
Registrations
Career history
Advantages of the new Universal Profile:
Structuring profile information in a consistent way will make it easier for schools to contact candidates and invite them to apply for your vacancies. For example, by searching for job seekers with a recognised qualification, or employment history with a verified organisation, the employer will get more relevant results.
The new structure also makes it easier to provide the required information for our Verify background checks.
What you have to do:
As a school, there’s nothing you need to do.
While every effort has been made to ensure existing Connect candidate profile fits the new structure, we have communicated to all candidates, recommending they check their information carefully and make any changes as needed.
We've relied on Schrole exclusively for two years now and have been very pleased with the Schrole Team's responsiveness, the overall quality of the candidates on Schrole, and the main tabs related to assessing candidate fit.
