About: Morrison Academy

Morrison Academy is an international Christian school in Taiwan. It was established in 1952 to meet the educational needs of children of missionaries. From its earliest days, Morrison Academy has welcomed the children of other expatriates on a space available basis.

Morrison Academy is jointly accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). Morrison Academy’s boarding program is also accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International.

Morrison Academy is recognized by Taiwan as an international school and is restricted from accepting nationals who do not hold a foreign passport. The majority of its students, approximately 70%, are citizens of the United States.

Morrison Academy is proud to offer quality American educational programs in a distinctively Christian environment.

Ethos: Morrison Academy

The vision of Morrison Academy is that each student will experience a quality, Biblically integrated education. Morrison structures learning so that students may develop the knowledge, discernment, and ability to dynamically impact their world for Christ.

Because Morrison is a Christian international school, a Biblical worldview is integrated into all areas of the American-based curriculum. Bible class is required for all students. Instruction is in English and is college preparatory in focus. Advanced Placement credit is available for select courses.

Morrison Academy’s dynamic learning environment paired with caring educators prepares students to be effective leaders, moral and ethical citizens, and life-long learners. The school strives to lead students to the Truth which will provide them with an intellectual and moral anchor for life.

Morrison Academy educates with a goal to equip the whole student, helping them to acquire the knowledge, discernment, and ability to dynamically impact the world.

Facilities: Morrison Academy

Morrison Academy has three campuses (Taipei, Taichung, and Kaohsiung) which serve students kindergarten through the twelfth grade. The Taichung campus is the only campus where boarding facilities are provided for high schoolers from areas outside of Taichung.

In addition to its main campuses, Morrison has also operated several satellite schools in other areas of Taiwan for students through the sixth grade.

Morrison also provides some services to missionaries in Taiwan who are homeschooling their children.

Location: Morrison Academy

Morrison Academy has three campuses across in Taiwan, in Taipei, Taichung, and Kaohsiung.

Taipei is Taiwan’s economic, political, and cultural centre. It is a modern cosmopolitan metropolis with a lively and diversified face, filled with exuberance. The cultural kaleidoscope of Taiwan’s capital city pulses wherever you go. Incense – veiled temples dating back to dynastic times blend seamlessly with a neon street life of a decidedly more modern era.

Taichung is Taiwan’s second largest city and boasts a highly developed industrial and commercial base, thriving cultural scene, friendly people, and beautiful scenery. Centrally located in the western half of Taiwan, Taichung welcomes visitors with a pleasant climate throughout the year.

Kaohsiung is located in the southern part of Taiwan and is the island’s largest industrial centre. Kaohsiung was the host city for the 2009 World Games. Due to the regulating effects of the marine climate, Kaohsiung is generally sunny and enjoys pleasant weather year-round. Known as “Taiwan’s Maritime Capital,” the city has worked hard in recent years to develop its tourism industry, including through beautification of the urban landscape.

I have been a school-level user of Schrole for recruiting for the last three hiring cycles and have found the platform they provide to be intuitive and comprehensive. The user interface stands out from others in the market as a crisp interface with the right level of features included at the right places. For me, the top two features are the ability to create school-specific application questions for applicants, and the availability of a short and long form applicant documentation PDF. If you’re looking for a recruiting platform, I highly recommend considering Schrole.
