In Review: In-person Recruitment and Networking Conference 2023

Last weekend, 250+ top international educators and 50+ leading international schools from around the world joined us in Bangkok for our annual In-person Recruitment and Networking Conference.

 

Overview: International educators

International educators representing over 43 countries met with top international schools to explore new career opportunities for the 2024/25 academic year, and to network with like-minded educators from around the world.

This first-in-market Recruitment, Networking and Career Development event of the season gave educators the unique opportunity to engage with international school recruiters, learn about their schiring processes, and gain valuable insights into the international teaching landscape.

Plus, candidates had the chance to discover the vibrant culture and stunning landscapes of Thailand.

 

Feedback: International educators

Feedback from our international educators was extremely positive, with nearly half finding their next employment opportunity at the event.

  • 80% of candidates were satisfied with Schrole In-Person event overall.
  • 47% of candidates will commence employment with a school they met at the In-Person event.
  • 84% of candidates found the event to either meet or exceed their expectations.
  • 98% of candidates found the event to be organised
  • 93% of candidates said they were likely to attend a Schrole event in the future.

With virtual recruitment events becoming more accessible, our annual In-person Recruitment and Networking Conference allows international school’s the unique chance to meet and speak with candidates face-to-face.

With the past two years’ recruitment seasons beginning earlier and earlier, our event supported conversations around leadership roles (which are often listed earlier in the season) as well as at drove engagement with educators at every school stage and subject specialty.

Connecting between the NESA and EARCOS Leadership Conferences, our event also allowed recruiters and leaders to start their networking conversations early and build a broader professional community.

 

Feedback: School representatives

While great in 2022, the feedback for our 2023 event blew us away. Not only did 97% of schools say they were likely to attend a Schrole event in the future, but 94% of schools are planning to hire a candidate they met at the event!
