After last year’s overwhelmingly positive response to our inaugural event, we’re returning to the Shangri-La Hotel Bangkok on Saturday and Sunday October 21 and 22.

Attendance to our In-Person Recruitment and Networking Conference is completely free for Schrole Connect Plus schools. This is in addition to:

Frequently asked questions

When do schools gain access to the event?

Access to the event begins at 10am on Saturday, October 21. This will allow you plenty of time to set up your table, including banners and any other swag you’d like to bring to help your school stand out.  As per last year, tables will be set up banquet style with four chairs and tablecloths provided by the hotel. 

Do you offer discounted hotel stays?

Yes! Discounted hotel rooms are available at the Shangri-La Hotel Bangkok. Please note the special room rate is available for October 21st; 22nd; 23rd only. If you’re intending to stay longer, we recommend booking directly with Shangri-La, so you can take advantage of the discount for those nights.

Is a booking room at the Shangri-La Hotel mandatory?

Absolutely not! While staying at the Shangri-La Hotel Bangkok gives you access to exclusive rates and means you’re already onsite for our event, you’re of course welcome to stay anywhere you’d like. There are plenty of accommodation options in Bangkok to suit all budgets.

How many people can we register for the event?

While you can register as many representatives as you’d like, we recommend two per school. Our event layout allows for two recruiters and two interviewees per school booth. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee interview space for three or more representatives.

Are meals included?

On Saturday, we’re putting on canapes and drinks for recruiters and candidates from 5pm onwards. Complimentary lunch on Sunday is being provided from 12 to 1pm. We recommend organising your own breakfast and lunch on Saturday before the event kicks off.

How do I set up interviews with candidates?

There is no physical mailbox for candidates. Instead, you’ll be scheduling interviews quickly and easily through the Schrole Connect platform.

Do you have suggestions/advice on getting ready for the event? 

Be on the Schrole Connect platform as much as possible leading up to the event! This will allow you to:

• Custom search for candidates attending the event in our database and invite them to apply to vacancies 
• Schedule interviews with candidates
• Use the notes function to have any team members who are not going in person to share their thoughts with you prior to a face-to-face interview
• Use the pre-screening questions function to set the stage for interviews and save time for face-to-face conversation topics
