The teachers will be expected to:

• Plan their lessons and be prepared
• Assess students` work and progress
• Attend students` and parents` events
• Be prepared for class observations and learning walks
• Run extracurricular activities
• Undertake professional development
• Participate in school assemblies
• Participate in staff, group, or other meetings related to the school curriculum or pastoral care arrangements
• Maintain an open line of communication with parents and provide appropriate information
• Teach according to the educational needs, abilities, and achievements of the individual students and groups of students.
• Promote the general progress and well-being of individual students, groups of students, or class entrusted to him/her
• Provide guidance and advice to students on educational and social matters and on their further education and future careers; providing information on sources of more expert advice
• Advise and co-operate with the Head of School, Assistant Head, Heads of Department, Education Officers, and other teachers in the preparation and development of courses of study, teaching materials, teaching programs, methods of teaching and assessment, and pastoral care arrangements
• Ensure high standards of professional practice and quality of teaching and learning of the subject/s. Through effective dialogue, participating in reciprocal peer review and observation of class teaching practice by the Head of the Department (subject/level) concerned
• Promote the School’s reputation as an outstanding school for students, both academically and in terms of all-around development.
• Enhance and protect Paragon ISC’s ‘brand’, which is associated with long-term integrity and a commitment to educational excellence.
