Essential Functions

- Execute a rigorous, AERO standards-aligned curriculum and adopt a data-driven approach to assessing students’ progress
- Possess a relentless drive to develop your own instructional practice to sharpen your skills as an educator
- Exhibit strong self-awareness and reflection skills with a strong desire to continuously grow professionally and personally
- Possess a growth mindset and be quick to incorporate feedback into your daily practice
- Set and reach ambitious goals and demonstrate ability to thrive in a high-performing school environment
- Collaborate with the English department to share best practices in order to craft a continually growing program for all of our students

Job Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree in secondary education with a concentration in English or Bachelor’s Degree in English with education certification.
- Hold or be eligible for Secondary English Language Arts Teacher certification.
- 3+ years of teaching experience preferred
- Understanding of high school English standards per the Common Core preferred or AERO
- Demonstrated experience closing student opportunity gaps
- Commitment and enthusiasm for working with a diverse student population focused on implementing best practices related to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)
- Optimism, resilience, curiosity, and a strong passion for personal growth and student and teacher success

Fully-furnished school apartment buildings located 3km from the school. School bus provides transportation between home, school, and shopping.
Most flats are two or more bedrooms.

Flights/Transport

Round trip each year for faculty member and one dependent to home of record.

New or gently used, modern furniture (from Ikea)

Moving Allowance

Shipping allowance = $1,500 for singles, $2,500 for couples.

Settling-in allowance = $1,000 for singles and $1,500 for couples upon arrival in Qatar
