1. Collaborate with fellow educators within the frameworks of the IB curriculum and the Arab International Academy to build upon the knowledge and experiences of previous students. Develop suitable research units, consider the diversity in students' levels and capabilities, and focus on the connections between different subjects.
2. Utilize diverse teaching strategies that consider individual differences.
3. Encourage students to engage actively in research units, foster a supportive environment for second language learners, and promote critical thinking.
4. Ensure coherence between planning, teaching, learning, and assessment processes, maintaining a balance in assessment. Document assessment strategies involving students, parents, and teachers, emphasizing to students that the purpose of assessment is to describe what has been learned and identify future learning goals.
5. Plan for the year and complete all required planning documents, updating them as necessary.
6. Monitor and evaluate students' performance while maintaining accurate records.
7. Work with parents, counsellors, and student affairs supervisors to address behavioral or academic issues.
8. Plan and oversee extracurricular and curricular activities to support student development and learning.
9. Manage standardized tests and analyze results before devising action plans.
10. Contribute to curriculum development.
11. Deliver appropriate curricula to the highest possible standards.
12. Implement all relevant school policies: language policy, assessment policy, learning support policy, child protection policy, etc.
13. Engage actively in professional development to continually improve student learning within the school's directions and the IB philosophy.
14. Maintain professionalism, uphold the true image of the school, and support colleagues in all school activities and tasks as determined by the school director and IB coordinator, in line with the school policy. Adhere to all school policies and regulations.
15. The primary responsibility of every teacher at the Arab International Academy is to understand the values and principles reflected in the IB program's philosophy and apply them in daily practice within an international environment.
16. Prepare for one or more theatrical presentations during the academic year.
