Five Reasons to Teach in Vietnam and at VAS
Working and living in Vietnam as an expatriate offers numerous benefits. Vietnam is a tropical and cultural haven with one of the highest economic growth rates in Southeast Asia. It is an ideal destination for international teachers due to its affordable cost of living, rich culture, excellent cuisine, friendly population, and wonderful students. Vietnam has emerged strong from the COVID-19 pandemic thanks to swift action taken by the government. Educators in Vietnam are highly respected and regarded, making it an excellent opportunity for teachers to contribute and feel appreciated.
One of the World's Best Countries to Work In – Vietnam is ranked as the 5th Best Destination for Expats in 2022 by Fortune and was the 10th Best in 2021 according to InterNations.
Exceptional Students – Vietnamese students are known for their high motivation, good behavior, and respect towards teachers, creating a pleasant classroom environment across all grade levels.
Culturally Diverse Teaching Environment – VAS is a leading international bilingual school in Vietnam, with approximately 400 local and international Cambridge curriculum teachers and leaders supporting our integrated curriculum, which includes Cambridge International and Vietnamese National Programs. Our faculty represents a diverse mix of experiences, cultures, and skills.
Career Progression – As part of a rapidly growing school with six campuses and nearly 7,500 students, our expatriate teachers have opportunities for career development and further accreditation through our Cambridge International Professional Development Centre. Many teachers are promoted internally each year to various management positions.
Competitive Salary and Benefits – With Vietnam's low cost of living, many expatriates can save more compared to their home countries. VAS offers a competitive salary package, monthly housing allowance, relocation allowance for overseas hires, tuition waiver for up to two children, international health insurance, 12 weeks of paid holiday, retention bonus, and more.
We encourage you to spend a few minutes exploring what we can offer you as a new member of our team. Your colleagues at VAS will come from various countries around the world. Working here provides the unique experience of blending international and Vietnamese educational programs and teaching styles, offering an unparalleled opportunity for growth and learning from two different educational worlds.
