VERSO is an inspiring project aiming to redesign the K-12 learning experience.

VERSO is the first international school in the world to have its conceptual blueprint designed by IDEO, the global design and innovation firm from San Francisco. Our design-driven DNA is a unique response to the compelling need for us to reimagine the way we are preparing our young people for the future. We help learners discover their talents and learn who they are. We teach them how to connect meaningfully with the world around them, and ultimately, we help them find the confidence to lead their own journey.

How might we create a flexible and evolving, yet trustworthy curriculum? How might we design forms of assessment that provide valuable insights for students, educators, and parents alike? How might we create a team of passionate, engaged, skilled, and committed educators who help design our students' experiences? How might our schedule provide both flexibility and structure to enable meaningful learning experiences? How might we foster an approach focused on student voice and choice that connects learning to its application in the world? These were just some of the big questions we've been wrestling with.

Today, Competency-Based Education is the backbone of the VERSO curriculum. At VERSO, learners take ownership and agency of their learning through interdisciplinary and personalized projects that challenge them to connect with the world beyond school. In doing so, VERSO learners develop the confidence, skills, and self-efficacy to expand on their knowledge, abilities, and zest for learning. At all grade levels, VERSO provides instructor-led projects and a range of extra and co-curricular experiences aimed at developing specific skills.
