The Halifax Academy is proud to be a Flexible Working Ambassador School, embracing a progressive approach to working that benefits both staff and students. As part of our Flexible School Fridays model, we maintain the same number of working hours but spread them across fewer days. The school operates in its usual way 9 out of every 10 days, and on every second Friday, we work more flexibly—allowing space for reflection, collaboration and innovation.
This approach reflects our commitment to modern, forward-thinking education. We recognise that the traditional school model needs to evolve to meet the demands of today’s world.
