Founded in 1993, Qingdao Baishan School is the first private school in Shandong Province and one of the first to receive the title of "Grade A" for private primary and secondary schools. In its 30 year history, the school has sustained excellence through its sterling reputation for producing excellent students, and continues to offer a reliable and stable environment for teachers to develop professionally and thrive in the beautiful, temperate coastal city of Qingdao.
Baishan School’s bilingual primary and middle school offers the International Curriculum by Fieldwork Education – an innovative and modern trans-disciplinary curriculum that supports the Chinese National Curriculum. The International Department uses the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) and the International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC) to develop learning goals, subject goals, and personal goals for students through a student-centered, holistic, and interdisciplinary approach.
Primary aged students study the International Primary Years Curriculum (IPC) and middle school students study the International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC). Students work toward developing the following 8 traits which lead to global citizenship and leadership: Inquiry, Resilience, Morality, Communication, Thoughtfulness, Cooperation, Respect, and Adaptability.
Students completing the International Curriculum are prepared for international education in the Annie Wright High School (on Baishan Campus) or other international programs like IB, AP, or A-Levels.
In addition to the innovative curricula offered in the International Department, Baishan School boasts one of the most robust and successful ESL departments among Shandong Province. ESL Teachers at Baishan enjoy small class sizes, high quality students, and excellent opportunities for professional development, including training, skills, and ability for advancement in the International Curriculum departments.

I have been a school-level user of Schrole for recruiting for the last three hiring cycles and have found the platform they provide to be intuitive and comprehensive. The user interface stands out from others in the market as a crisp interface with the right level of features included at the right places. For me, the top two features are the ability to create school-specific application questions for applicants, and the availability of a short and long form applicant documentation PDF. If you’re looking for a recruiting platform, I highly recommend considering Schrole.
