About the School
Welcome to Pechersk School International (PSI) - a place where we belong!
Pechersk School International was opened in 1995 with just 47 students. By 2021, with close to 550 students, the school was an accredited International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, celebrating its 21st IB birthday, serving international and national families in Kyiv.
The name Pechersk is a reference to the location of the original school site in the district of Pechersk, which was also historically the city’s centre of learning.
PSI is the first and the only school in Ukraine that gained authorisation to teach the three International Baccalaureate ® (IB) programmes: PYP, MYP and DP.
The IB programmes are regarded as prestigious, rigorous and relevant to students’ learning needs for the 21st century as well as the circumstances of internationally mobile families from around the world. Our curriculum and co curricular activities are regularly reviewed for quality and suitability to ensure that we meet the evolving needs of our community.
In response to the current war in Ukraine, PSI offers world-class education for students in Poland; and globally (including those students in Ukraine) via an online learning programme.
In August 2023, PSI will fully re-open its campus in Kyiv, Ukraine.
