At NBH Canonbury Senior School and Sixth Form, we create a dynamic learning environment in which all children aged 11-18, regardless of where their strengths may lie, can discover their individual path to academic success.
Our students achieve outcomes way beyond starting point expectations, thriving on our personalised approach to teaching and learning within a small, close-knit school environment. Surrounded by and built on centuries-old heritage in leafy Canonbury Square, Islington, our school provides the ultimate backdrop against which young people find their True North, rigorously prepared to pursue their talents at university and in the world of work.
NBH Canonbury is dedicated to providing students with an outstanding education and to developing happy, confident young adults with the skills to become future leaders. Our academic offering is designed to help every student find their own individual passion - their area of excellence - and what success looks like for them.
A huge part of a NBH Canonbury education is each child’s personal development; we aim to equip young people with the confidence, humility and resilience to thrive in everything they do. From our incredible arts department and very own outdoor activity centre, to our embedded enrichment and wellbeing programmes, we nurture strong relationships within an inclusive community at the same time as exposing students to a world of opportunity, preparing them for a globally competitive workplace.
We place each child's needs and interests at the heart of school life; our teachers are committed to understanding the individual and how they learn most effectively. Which is why our staff are actively involved in research projects with UCL and constantly probe their own practices to ensure we are following evidence-based approaches, working together with our students to achieve more than they believed possible.
NBH Canonbury is also part of the Cognita family, a global community of over 100 schools that’s rich in knowledge, opportunities, and best practices. With an excellent reputation, our school’s ethos is centred on nurturing and celebrating the individual, pupils not only achieving academic success, but ready for the real world ahead of them.

I have been a school-level user of Schrole for recruiting for the last three hiring cycles and have found the platform they provide to be intuitive and comprehensive. The user interface stands out from others in the market as a crisp interface with the right level of features included at the right places. For me, the top two features are the ability to create school-specific application questions for applicants, and the availability of a short and long form applicant documentation PDF. If you’re looking for a recruiting platform, I highly recommend considering Schrole.
