Founded in 1990, MYIS International School (formerly Magic Years International School) began as a small preschool serving four children.
Since then, MYIS has grown into a recognized leader in the early years, with a new purpose-built campus that houses students from 1 year-old to Grade 10. It has also since grown into an established IB World School, with learning through inquiry at the heart of its practice. MYIS believes that a school is only as good as its teachers, and aims to create an inclusive environment where teachers are cared for, supported, and immersed in rich learning opportunities. Serving 250 students today, MYIS remains a small school with big dreams and plans for growth up to Grade 12 in 2028.
The MYIS community is driven by five core values:
- Establishing close family partnerships.
- Providing students a learning environment that is challenging, relevant, differentiated, and collaborative.
- Giving students the time, space and opportunity to learn through play and inquiry.
- Reinforcing the capacities of each child, enabling them to make appropriate choices and take purposeful action to benefit themselves and their society.
- Promoting transformational teaching and learning practices through constant research, consultation, collaboration, reflection, action and commitment to growth.
