At ISHCMC we are proud of our rich history of learning. As the first IB World School in Ho Chi Minh City we have been innovating through a mix of pedagogy, curriculum, facilities and opportunities beyond the classroom for over 30 years.

Our community represents a culturally diverse group of families and teachers from over 60 countries and is brought together by a common purpose to inspire wellbeing and learning so that our diverse, internationally-minded community flourish as energized, engaged and empowered learners.

The school is made up of two beautiful campuses – Primary and Secondary – and is conveniently situated in one of Ho Chi Minh City’s most charming districts. Students are educated to construct an understanding of knowledge and their world through carefully developed learning and social skills. Offering a progressive educational approach set within modern learning environments we utilize the flexibility of the International Baccalaureate programs to encourage an inclusive, broad and balanced approach to learning through inquiry, exploration of concepts, principled and caring citizenship, creative problem solving, collaboration, communication and connectivity.

We inspire wellbeing and learning so that our diverse, internationally-minded community flourish as energized, engaged and empowered learners.

The mission, vision and values at ISHCMC help us align our day-to-day efforts and maintain a common purpose.

Our Mission

Diverse

We are a diverse community of different nationalities, cultural and educational backgrounds, race, ethnicity, geographies, socio-economic background, gender roles, age, sexual orientation, religion, political views, neuro- divergences and physical differences, co-curricular abilities etc.

Internationally-minded

We are internationally-minded and are taught to appreciate; value and respect all cultures; religions and languages. Students learn to see themselves as global citizens and are asked to look beyond: gender, class, race, nationality and culture to understand human nature.

Community

We are a community that share responsibility for one another, provide an environment for intellectual learning, and create a healthy social atmosphere where all the members of the community are supported. As a community we all have a social and emotional attachment to ISHCMC, we communicate honestly with each other, we celebrate with each other and support each other when times are challenging.
