Beijing International Bilingual Academy (BIBA) was founded in 2006 by a group of passionate educators and is one of the fastest-growing international schools in Beijing, with over 1600 students from various countries. Our vision is to be the model for developing internationally-minded bilingual ambassadors who promote intercultural understanding, respect, and integration in a dynamic global community. The school is deeply rooted in an appreciation of Chinese culture and is dedicated to global citizenship in the world's historic journey toward a united human community.
Our learning culture at BIBA combines rigor, discipline, and traditions of Chinese teaching methods with international methods' vibrant, stimulating, and outward-looking creativity. The fundamental to the success of our program is the passion of our foreign and Chinese teaching staff members. They deliver not only our various academic programs (US national Standards, Chinese National Standards, MYP, IGCSE, and IBDP, but also play an essential role, via many non-academic initiatives, in the development of a holistic student approach. We hope that BIBA students will be confident, competent, and well-equipped to take on the challenges of our modern society with an international mindedness.
WASC also accredits BIBA, and at the same time, we are an active member of ACAMIS, ISAC, and JISAC. We currently have a faculty population of over 350 (with an equal ratio of international and local staff) from over 25 different nationalities. Our campus has an Early Childhood Center, Elementary School, and Middle-High School. Teachers enjoy a rich community life with many teaching families, children, and singles who plan and participate in various events and activities.
Benefits
Accommodation
The school provides housing for the first year. In the following year, teachers may opt for a housing allowance that ranges from about 8,000 to 15,000 RMB per month, which can be utilized for their preferred accommodation. This allowance may differ depending on the individual's family members.
Flights/Transport
1. On-Boarding and End of Contract Completion Travel Benefits.
2. Summer Travel Benefits arranging from $1700 - $3400 annually depending on "Staff Type".
Reimbursed against receipts.
Moving Allowance
An allowance ranging from $300 to $1,000 will be provided, contingent upon the location. Reimbursement will be made upon submission of receipts.
Dependent Opportunities
BIBA will bear the expenses associated with registration, capital levy, and tuition fees. There is no restriction on the number of school-aged dependent children. Additionally, the school will provide the initial set of uniforms for each child. This is subject to compliance with the BIBA Admissions Policy requirements and applies to all school-aged children.
Medical
BIBA will offer insurance coverage throughout mainland China. Additionally, the policy extends to worldwide emergencies for a duration of 30 days while traveling outside of China. This coverage includes dependents, encompassing the employee's non-working spouse and up to three dependents who are 18 years of age or younger.
Bonus
A bonus of 20% will be awarded at the conclusion of the contract, contingent upon the successful fulfillment of all terms throughout the entire contract duration.
