Vision International School (VIS) is an international American curriculum school established in partnership with the school’s owner, the Almuftah Group. Located in Al Wakrah, a rapidly growing suburb of Doha, the creation of Vision International School responded to the need for quality K-12 schools in Qatar.
VIS first opened in September 2014, with 225 students in grades Pre-K through Grade 8, and an eventual maximum capacity of 1200 students in Pre-K through Grade 12. Classes are co-ed in Pre-K through Kindergarten 2 (KG2). Classes from Grades 1 and up are single-gender. VIS offers an American international curriculum along with Arabic language, Qatari History, and Islamic Studies.

Vision International School (VIS) is located in a modern, spacious and beautiful educational facility located in Al Wakra – a close suburb of Doha, Qatar, on the Arabian Gulf. The school is a modern, purpose-built campus, with facilities including:
- An early childhood section for Pre-K and Kindergarten.
- Elementary school for Grades 1-5; sections for boys and sections for girls.
- Middle/High school for Grades 6-11; sections for boys and sections for girls.
- A full-size gymnasium, swimming pool, two cafeterias, well-equipped libraries, art, science, and music labs, and exciting play spaces in both shaded and fully air-conditioned settings.
- A robust After School Activities program for all grades from KG1 and up.

Starting Salary Range: $32,614.
Taxes: No local income tax.
Savings Potential: 40 – 75% of yearly salary.
Accommodation: Fully furnished school apartment buildings located 3km from the school. School bus provides transportation between home, school, and shopping. Most flats are two or more bedrooms.
Flights/Transport: Round trip each year for faculty member and one dependent to home of record.
Utilities: All paid by the school.
Furniture: New or gently used, modern furniture (from Ikea).
Moving Allowance: Shipping allowance of $1,500 for singles, $2,500 for couples. Settling-in allowance of $1,000 for singles and $1,500 for couples upon arrival in Qatar.
Dependent Opportunities: Tuition exemption for 1 child per teacher.
Medical: Local coverage in Qatar is excellent and almost free once residency is attained. Optional – Full coverage worldwide for Expat teachers (50% paid employee/50% paid school). School pays 50% of premium, teacher pays 50%.
Dental: Included in optional coverage above.
Disability: Paid according to Qatari law.
