About: The Robert Muller LIFE International School

LIFE School is a not-for-profit school English Immersion School backed by a 501(c)3 incorporated in the state of California.

Recognising the need for a bilingual, international school in Panajachel, LIFE School (Lake Atitlan International Facility for Education) was established in September 1989 by a handful of parents and educators as an alternative to home schooling.

Initially starting with just a few students, LIFE School now has an enrollment of over 150 students. Currently, over 50% of LIFE School students receive some form of financial assistance.

The school is run under the leadership of the principal with the support of LIFE School foundation’s board.

Ethos: The Robert Muller LIFE International School

LIFE School is unique! Its student body and staff reflect its belief that we can all learn from one another. LIFE School prides itself on providing a multi-cultural education to its community. Of its 150+ students, around 50% come from an indigenous Mayan background, and over 50% of students receive financial support through sponsorships and our scholarship program.

LIFE School believes in improving the opportunities for its students and their families, investing in this community, and instilling strong ethical and environmental values in its students.

LIFE School strives to provide a modern education focused on the whole student. The school believes that education can and should be life-changing, as the access to knowledge and opportunities that we offer can have infinite positive consequences.

School fees, sponsorships, and donations are all channelled directly into the maintenance and improvement of our school.

LIFE School is a happy school with wonderful students, where creativity and positivity are celebrated in staff and student body alike.
