About: Seoul Foreign School

Since 1912, Seoul Foreign School (SFS) has served the international community of Seoul, South Korea. Starting as a single classroom of 12 students, SFS has grown into the vibrant and dynamic learning environment of 1,500 students from Pre-K through Grade 12.

A co-educational international day school located in a park-like atmosphere in the middle of Seoul, SFS is proud to be centered in Christ and aims to inspire in each and every student a passion for learning, the pursuit of academic and creative excellence, and dedication to the service of others.

SFS is fully accredited by Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). The British School was inspected and approved by Ofsted British Schools Overseas (BSO).

SFS has more than 300 staff and faculty representing countries and cultures from around the world. SFS offers faulty on and off-campus accommodation and an excellent salary and benefits package that allows for significant savings. Teachers at SFS generally find that they are able to live comfortably, with many putting a considerable sum into savings each year.

In addition, generous professional development affords employees the opportunity to continue to learn new skills and refine their craft, allowing educators to foster their love of lifelong learning.

Ethos: Seoul Foreign School

A sense of caring is at the heart of Seoul Foreign School’s (SFS) mission. The importance of guiding, supporting, and challenging each one of its students defines the school’s approach.

SFS enrolls students from all religious backgrounds and welcomes all as integral members of our diverse community. “Centered in Christ” simply means that our community lives, works, and builds relationships following the example of Christ himself.

SFS strives to promote educational excellence and to foster personal integrity. An SFS education is inspiring, rigorous, and rooted in the belief that each member of the SFS community has a responsibility to positively impact the world and make it a better place. With the aim of creating students who are engaged global citizens, SFS offers various educational programs that foster collaboration and approach teaching and learning through the lens of inquiry.

SFS provides a broad range of opportunities for students to develop their gifts and pursue their dreams. SFS is dedicated to implementing best practice in the classroom and is committed to hiring the very best educators to care for, teach, lead, guide and inspire each individual student.

Since signing up with Schrole we have been very impressed by the customer service, the modern-looking online platform, the absence of placement fees, and the various other Schrole products that we may be able to benefit from in the future. We have filled a number of positions this year with candidates from Schrole, during a particularly difficult recruitment year for us. The customer service is terrific. It seems that Schrole is leading the way in moving teacher recruitment into the 2020's.
