Facilities: Saint Maur International School

Conducive to good learning and creating life-long learners, Saint Maur’s campus has modern and well-maintained facilities, which apart from classrooms; include recreation halls, robotic and computer labs, a cafeteria, a library and several outdoor play areas. In addition to dedicated Fine Arts and Science Centres, the school owns an outdoor sports complex located only a three-minute walk away from its main campus.

A brand new, state-of-the-art building called Cougar Café, Activity & Sports Center was opened in April 2021 and hosts a cafeteria, a competitive indoor sports area with a spectator area, as well as two additional activity rooms.

 

Location: Saint Maur International School

Situated just south of Tokyo and overlooking Tokyo Bay, Yokohama boasts a picturesque waterfront setting, with stunning views of the bay and iconic landmarks such as the Yokohama Landmark Tower and the Red Brick Warehouse.

The city’s well-developed infrastructure and efficient transportation network, including extensive train and bus systems, ensure easy access to work, leisure, and surrounding areas. Yokohama’s thriving economy, driven by industries such as technology, automotive, and shipping, provides abundant employment opportunities and a dynamic business environment.

Residents can immerse themselves in Yokohama’s rich cultural heritage by exploring historic neighbourhoods like Chinatown and Yamate, home to preserved Western-style mansions from the Meiji era. Yokohama offers ample green spaces, such as the sprawling Yamashita Park and scenic Sankeien Garden, where residents can relax, unwind, and enjoy outdoor activities.

 

Benefits: Saint Maur International School

Starting Salary Range: US $47,300. The exchange rate of 150 yen to a dollar has been used. Salaries are relative to the cost of living in Japan.

Accommodation: The school will assist in securing an apartment on behalf of the teacher. Initial costs will be covered but rent to be paid by the teacher. Housing initial costs includes, key money, deposit & agent’s fee.

Flights/Transport: For Expatriate overseas hire. Airfare at the time of Initial Hire and at Retirement. Spouse and two dependents up to 18 years of age who were initially sponsored will receive airfare at retirement.

Moving Allowance: At the time of hire and retirement for applicable teacher.

Pension and Medical: According to host country’s scheme, terms apply. Employee’s contribution for Pension and Medical scheme is 13 – 15% of salary. School’s contribution is 50% of the premium. Medical Insurance coverage is 70%
