About: Nexus International School (Singapore)
The Nexus International School brand was established in 2007 by Taylor’s Schools, with the first campus set up in Putrajaya, Malaysia. Taylor’s later acquired Excelsior International School in 2011, rebranding the school to Nexus International School (Singapore).
Located at Ulu Pandan up until 2019, Nexus International School (Singapore) moved to the purpose-built, world-class campus at Aljunied in January 2020. Nexus International School (Singapore) teachers were heavily involved in the design process, resulting in open-plan and flexible areas for its learner community to leverage and to suit their learning needs.
Nexus International School (Singapore) believes that learning starts with highly motivated and professional teachers. More than 80% of Nexus International School (Singapore) teachers possess more than five years of teaching experience and hold two or more professional qualifications.

The central location also provides easy access to other parts of Singapore, which means plenty of opportunities to explore.
Benefits: Nexus International School (Singapore)
Number of contract days: Academic employees are expected to work during the academic terms, except on public holidays and school holidays. Administrative employees do not have school holidays, however, they are entitled to annual leave days as per company policy.
Starting salary range: Salary offers are generally based on qualifications and relevant experience of the individual. Salary matters will be discussed in detail during the offer stage after the interviews are completed.
Taxes: Employees are responsible to pay any tax liabilities to the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore. The amount of tax payable depends on the amount of income and taxable benefits earned over the year of assessment. For more information on the Singapore tax system please refer to the Singaporean government website.
Accommodation: Overseas recruited teachers are provided with a monthly housing allowance according to the School’s guidelines. More details pertaining allowances will be shared when the role is offered.
Flights/transport: One-way airfare is provided for overseas recruited teachers, legal accompanying spouse and up to 2 children from the home country to Singapore at the commencement of employment period. A reasonable allowance is also provided for annual return flights from Singapore to home country upon each year of extension after a completion of at least 2 years of employment. Repatriation flights are covered at the end of the employment period.
Moving allowance: Relocation allowance is provided before the commencement of employment and during repatriation at the end of the employment period.
Dependent opportunities: Employees are eligible for discounts on tuition fees for their legal children enrolled in Nexus. These enrolment applications are subject to the prevailing admission criteria.
Medical: A comprehensive healthcare insurance package is extended to employees and accompanying dependents in Singapore below 19 years of age.
The majority of our new international faculty now come to us through Schrole. In fact, our school exclusively uses Schrole as our global recruitment tool, having tried and stopped using other sites. This is how much faith we have in Schrole as a valuable resource with good customer service.
