About: Korea International School (KIS)
Korea International School (KIS) welcomed its first group of students in 2000, at its current Seoul campus. During the school’s early years, the KIS board, administrators and educators considered the best course for its learners.
KIS provides a PK-12 North American education. KIS standards-based curriculum and commitment to applied learning encourages students to connect to their learning. Academic and co-curricular activities create opportunities for students to transfer their knowledge and skills and take healthy risks as they grow.
KIS committed to applied learning and the development of a strong STEAM program, creating makerspaces, and developing transdisciplinary learning units to help learners make connections between content areas.
The KIS school community values the wellbeing of all students, staff, and families. Safeguarding measures ensure each person is safe and welcome at KIS. Staff professional development refines teaching craft.
In 2006 KIS opened the Pangyo campus housing elementary, middle and high school grades. In 2018, KIS celebrated our thousandth graduate. KIS learners continue to matriculate at top colleges and universities around the world.
Ethos: Korea International School (KIS)
KIS is proud to offer a safe, caring, and nurturing environment for its students. KIS believes each school day is an opportunity for fun and challenge as students engage with curricular content and extracurricular activities.
KIS recognises its students are whole individuals with their own interests, ideas and hopes, and so its mission is to encourage each student to be more who they are, helping to identify and develop their strengths.
KIS practices design thinking, taking its best ideas from past to present iterations. KIS responds to its learner community, providing excellent academic and extracurricular opportunities which empower learners and teach authenticity and adaptability.
KIS ALSO equips students to apply learning. KIS celebrates discovery and exploration, understanding that our students engage with an evolving world. KIS practice critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration. Learning sparks questions, interests, and passions students pursue.
KIS applies learning within our school community and is now developing service components for different courses. KIS features an experiential education (EE) program to take learning outside, inspiring classes to extend outdoor education throughout the school year.

I have been a school-level user of Schrole for recruiting for the last three hiring cycles and have found the platform they provide to be intuitive and comprehensive. The user interface stands out from others in the market as a crisp interface with the right level of features included at the right places. For me, the top two features are the ability to create school-specific application questions for applicants, and the availability of a short and long form applicant documentation PDF. If you’re looking for a recruiting platform, I highly recommend considering Schrole.
