Founded in 1960, the Inter-Community School Zurich (ICS) is the oldest international school in the Greater Zurich Area and remains a leader in global education. As the only school in Zurich fully authorised to offer all three International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes, Primary Years, Middle Years, and Diploma, ICS provides a world-class education for students aged 3 to 18. Number of Contract Days: Teachers contract days – 189; Teacher Pupil Contact days – 180 and 20 hours contact time per week.
Starting Salary Range: 77’900 – 91’900.
Taxes: Approx. 10% of salary.

Accommodation: ICS’ housing coordinator will support you to find a suitable apartment in the area according to your personal needs. ICS also has some school apartments which may be available.
Flights/Transport: Travel allowance to take up your appointment with ICS in Switzerland is covered as follows: Swiss Francs 1’000.- within Europe per family member; Swiss Francs 2’000.- outside Europe per family member.
Furniture: Swiss apartments are unfurnished. If you take over an ICS apartment, it may be possible to buy the furniture from the previous tenant. There is also the possibility to buy furniture from other departing staff members.
Medical: Health insurance is compulsory in Switzerland and the amount of cover up to the individual. ICS insurance brokers will support you in finding the right solution for you and your family.
Disability: Life and disability insurance – a certain degree of cover through the ICS Pension Plan.
Other: Accident insurance covered by the school worldwide on a private ward; Loss of salary allowance insurance premium fully covered by the school; Support from our insurance brokers in any kind of other insurance: household, car etc.
