Capital Tokyo International School (CTIS) is dedicated to developing inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who use intercultural understanding and their practical and problem-solving skills to help to create a better and more peaceful world.
CTIS stresses the total development of its students and have put in place a broad, balanced, conceptual and connected curriculum which builds the language proficiency, skills and attributes needed to develop international mindedness and become a lifelong learner.
Regardless of where CTIS students were born, where they are living, what religion they hold, what ethnicity they have, CTIS strives to provide an inclusive, high-quality education, and endeavour to eliminate education inequalities.

Capital Tokyo International School’s building has over 1,000 square meters of space on two large floors and is easily accessible by bus, train, and car.
Each floor has large open learning spaces with movable furniture and learning resources such as mobile whiteboards and digital blackboards (BenQ). Students can move freely between classrooms and study spaces and group them according to their learning needs. Additionally, at CTIS, the ratio of students to wireless LAN connected devices is 1:1, so wireless LAN on campus further supports the learning activities of children and students.
At the centre of the fifth floor is the CTIS Library, with over 5,000 books in English and Japanese, a physical reflection of CTIS’s commitment to bilingual literacy. Additionally, on the 5th floor there is a soundproof gymnasium and classrooms exclusively for junior high school students. The fourth floor houses the CTIS office, elementary school homerooms, interview rooms, and a large open study space.
CTIS is also located near a large park and gymnasium, which is used to host large events and weekly outdoor play sessions. Students are also scheduled to leave the CTIS building several times a week for outdoor recess, physical education class, field trips, etc.
