The Koç School seeks a Primary School English teacher to join our dynamic team. The teacher will teach students from Kindergarten through Grade 4. Our English classes incorporate the Cambridge International program alongside the Ministry of National Education curriculum. The teacher will assess students in English as a second language and use a variety of performance tasks to evaluate and measure progress.
This role involves teaching across multiple grade levels within the Primary School program. The ideal candidate should be adaptable to teaching at all grade levels (K-4) and collaborate closely with a co-teacher. The candidate should also provide additional support to students through the student support program and prepare supplementary materials for learning outside the classroom.

Qualifications and Experience Required
Bachelor’s degree and a professional teaching qualification.
Minimum of three years of primary school teaching experience.
For foreign candidates in Turkey: Certification of Diploma Equivalency from the Council of Higher Education (YÖK).
For all foreign candidates: Valid scores from TOEFL IBT, CAE, or PTE Academic as required by the Turkish Ministry of National Education.
Preferred: Experience with the Cambridge International program.
Demonstrated commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Main Responsibilities
Instructional Planning & Delivery
Design unit plans, daily lesson plans, and evaluation tools aligned with Cambridge International ESL standards, Ministry of Education standards, and the school’s mission and SEL goals.
Deliver engaging, student-centered instruction that accommodates diverse learning needs.
Assessment & Feedback
Provide timely, constructive feedback to students throughout each unit.
Monitor and assess student progress through various assessment methods, adapting teaching as needed to support students in reaching high academic standards.
Student & Parent Engagement
Regularly communicate with parents to inform them of their child’s progress in English.
Collaborate with co-teachers to monitor student progress and support students who are not meeting standards.
School Involvement
Work cooperatively with the English department, other faculty members, and school administrators.
Actively participate in school events and lead extracurricular activities.
Fulfill any additional duties as requested by the school leadership team.
