We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior School Science Teacher to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will teach a range of science subjects from Year 8 to Year 11, with a particular focus on Biology.

Key Responsibilities:

- Teach science from Year 8 to Year 11, delivering lessons that meet the requirements of the Cambridge International Curriculum.

- Provide high-quality instruction in IGCSE/GCSE Biology, preparing students for their IGCSE exams in Year 11.

- Develop and implement effective lesson plans that incorporate both practical and theoretical aspects of Biology, fostering an engaging and stimulating learning environment.

- Promote student curiosity and interest in science, helping them develop a deep understanding of key scientific concepts and skills.

- Differentiate lessons to accommodate the diverse learning needs of students, ensuring all students have the opportunity to succeed.

- Regularly assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to encourage academic growth.

- Contribute to the development of the science department by collaborating with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and teaching strategies.

- Encourage student participation in extracurricular science-related activities and events, such as science fairs or academic competitions.

- Incorporate the use of technology into lessons where appropriate to enhance student learning.

- A passion for fostering global awareness and broadening students' horizons through international experiences.

- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to organize, plan, and oversee trips and activities that support both educational and personal growth.

- A proactive and enthusiastic approach to working with students and colleagues alike.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- A current TIE holder (“Tarjeta de Identidad de Extranjero”) or a passport holder from an EU country.

- Native English speaker or certified C2 level (CEFR).

- A minimum of two years of teaching experience, with a focus on secondary science education.

- Proven experience teaching IGCSE/GCSE Biology or other science subjects within the Cambridge International Curriculum.

- Strong subject knowledge, with the ability to effectively teach both theoretical and practical aspects of Biology.
