We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Secondary Physical Education (PE) Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching students from Year 8 to Lower Sixth, with a particular focus on preparing them for IGCSE examinations.
Key Responsibilities:
-Teach Physical Education from Year 8 to Lower Sixth, delivering engaging and high-quality lessons aligned with the Cambridge International Curriculum.
-Prepare students for their IGCSE examinations in Year 11, ensuring thorough and differentiated lesson planning to cater to varying learning abilities.
-Develop and implement strategies for improving student performance, both academically and physically, through a variety of practical and theoretical approaches.
-Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment that promotes physical activity, health, and well-being.
-Assess, monitor, and report on student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to guide development.
-Foster a holistic approach to student development by integrating mindfulness techniques into the PE curriculum and supporting students in their mental and physical growth.
-Contribute to the school’s extracurricular activities, including sporting events and Duke of Edinburgh expeditions, where applicable.
-Collaborate with colleagues across different departments to enhance student learning and overall school life.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A current TIE holder (“Tarjeta de Identidad de Extranjero”) or a passport holder from an EU country.
- Native English speaker or certified C2 level (CEFR).
-A minimum of two years of teaching experience, with a focus on secondary school Physical Education.
