Secondary School English Teacher (IGCSE & A-Level) – Tokyo, Japan

Are you an enthusiastic and experienced English teacher looking for an exciting opportunity in a growing international school? Laurus International School of Science is seeking a passionate and adaptable educator to join our secondary school team, teaching IGCSE English and eventually A-Level English Language and/or Literature.

The Role
As an English teacher at Laurus, you will:

Deliver engaging IGCSE English lessons, with plans to introduce A-Level courses.

Foster critical thinking, analytical skills, and a love of literature in students.

Collaborate with subject teachers and contribute to cross-disciplinary projects.

Support students in exam preparation and coursework development.

Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and ongoing curriculum development.

What We’re Looking For
A qualified English teacher with experience teaching IGCSE and/or A-Level (or equivalent international curriculum).

A strong communicator who can inspire students with a love for language and literature.

Someone who thrives in a fast-growing school environment and embraces change.

Experience or interest in integrating technology and interdisciplinary learning.

Social Insurance: The employee will be enrolled in the company insurance plan. Shakai hoken , or Social Insurance, combines Health Insurance (kenkou hoken) and Pension Insurance (kosei nenkin) into one system. The insurance fee varies depending on your salary and the monthly premium is split 50-50 with your employer, with your half being directly deducted from your paycheck. Social Insurance covers a wide range of medical and drug costs, including dental treatment.
