About the position:

Swiss International School in Qatar is seeking a competent and forward-thinking Secondary Mathematics Teacher who will also be the Subject Leader for the team, to start with the school August 2024. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to be part of the team of educators that is further developing the MYP and DP programs at SISQ.

About you:

The successful candidate will have the following essential qualities:

- Experience teaching Secondary (DP/MYP) Mathematics;

-Experience leading a mathematics team / department;

- Student focused and a passion for working with middle school aged students;

- A collaborative style

- A commitment to continuous improvement;

- A commitment to student learning, wellbeing and safeguarding.

The following qualities would be an advantage:

- MYP/ DP training

- Experience within an international school setting

In accordance with the Ministry of Education's Circular 13 requirements for this position, the candidate must possess the following:

> A Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics

> A teaching qualification (PGCE / QTS / Teaching Licence)

> No more than 49 years of age in August 2024 (point of joining the school)

Number of Contract Days

Approximately 180 instructional
+ 6 for returning teachers
+10 for new teachers

Starting Salary Range

136,000 to 184,800 QAR per annum
Allowances as appropriate
271,200 top of basic scale

Housing allowances provided. During the first three months, optional temporary housing is offered in a serviced hotel apartment.


Overseas hire annual flight including for sponsored dependants.

Yes - depends upon family size.

Dependent Opportunities

Two children per full-time teacher receive free tuition. Teaching spouse opportunity to work in the school. Non-teaching spouse may have opportunities to work in the school in a learning-assistant or administration position.
