About BASIS International School Hangzhou

BASIS International School Hangzhou opened in 2018, and was the first BASIS International School in China outside of Guangdong province. The school welcomes students in Grades Pre-K – 12 and celebrated its first graduates in 2022. Our Primary School teachers adopt a collaborative, co-teaching approach to enhance student engagement and learning opportunities. The Subject Expert Teacher (SET) assumes the lead in delivering engaging, subject-specific learning experiences, while the Learning Enhancement Teacher (LET) ensures individual student understanding. As a Science Subject Expert Teacher, you stimulate and encourage students' natural curiosity while teaching foundational science concepts. You teach fundamental concepts, incorporating practical uses for science, such as how we all use the scientific method in our daily life.

Work Experience
Who We’re Looking For

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in your subject area (Elementary and Early Education degrees are also highly valued for Pre-K through Grade 5).
Experience: At least two years as the lead teacher in a classroom, a requirement for obtaining a working visa.

Accommodation

Furnished housing is provided by the school. A housing allowance in lieu of provided housing is also
available as an alternate option.
