Primary Teacher

Cayman Learning Centre & School is a new “boutique” private school offering a full National Curriculum of England along with highly effective learning support programmes for students with identified learning disabilities. Salary per annum: CI$40,000 - CI$42,500

Essential skills/ certification:
• Bachelor of Education/ PGCE or equivalent with relevant experience teaching
• Additional professional development or qualifications in Special Education
• Experience in SEMH school preferred
• Experience in project-based learning/ creative curriculum preferred.
• Minimum 2 years teaching experience in an educational setting with a population of diverse needs students.
• After-school tutoring hours required and willingness to teach remediation programmes to a wide age range
• Excellent observation, evaluation, and accommodation skills
• Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills with an outgoing, creative personality
• Willingness to be involved in all aspects of school culture and training.

In addition, he/ she will have:
• Excellent classroom management and practitioner skills working with students with, but not limited to dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD, and autism spectrum disorder
• Experience raising standards of achievement and behaviour through appropriately planned intervention programs
• Additional training &/or experience in literacy programs
• Additional training &/or experience in social, emotional and communication programs
• Additional ADHD and Executive Functioning coaching experience
• Must be flexible, creative, and have excellent oral and written skills
