The successful candidate for this position will be willing to be part of a collaborative team who values kindness, builds strong relationships and demonstrates respect and integrity. The school is developing an English Language acquisition program, and teaching this as a subject within the MYP framework. There is an expectation that you are a lifelong learner who wants to innovate and develop a program that truly supports our learners. The ideal candidate for this position will be dedicated to creating a supportive learning environment that fosters intellectual curiosity, critical thinking skills, creativity, collaboration, respect for diversity, empathy towards others' perspectives.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Education or related field
- Minimum of 3 years teaching experience at the middle or High school level
- Experience teaching ESL/EAL students preferred
- Familiarity with IB MYP curriculum and assessment practices
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across departments
