POSITION: MTSS Coordinator
STARTING DATE: August 2025
Education Stage: Working with students from Kindergarten to Grade 8.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in education, with experience in student support services preferred
- Knowledge of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and Response to Intervention (RTI) frameworks
- Experience working with diverse learners, including students with special needs and English language learners
- Experience with the Common Core State Standards (CCSS)
- Strong collaboration and leadership skills
- Experience with data-driven decision-making and student progress monitoring

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Tiered Support and Coordination
- Design, implement, and oversee a school-wide academic support program
- Coordinate Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 support through both push-in and pull-out models
- Lead the Coordination of Support Team (COST) meetings to manage the school-wide caseload
- Deliver Tier 3 interventions through a combination of push-in and pull-out instruction
- Collaborate with teachers to design and implement Tier 2 interventions, including follow-up support

2. Collaboration and Data Monitoring
- Lead monthly Kid Talk meetings with each grade level to discuss student progress and interventions
- Facilitate Data Digs for Math and ELA to analyze student performance data
- Maintain a comprehensive database for growth monitoring and record-keeping for Learning Support and ESL services
- Regularly update and manage Student At a Glance files

3. Student Success Plans and Reporting
- Develop and oversee Student Success Plans tailored to specific learning needs of students
- Administer WIDA testing in the Fall and Winter terms or as needed
- Maintain detailed records and monitor student progress through data-driven decision-making

4. Professional Development and Communication
- Design and lead in-house professional development (PD) opportunities to support Tier 1 and Tier 2 interventions
- Establish and maintain clear communication with homeroom teachers regarding students receiving pull-out support
- Provide resources, training, and assistance to faculty to help meet the needs of all learners
