OVERVIEW
The KAUST School (TKS) aims to serve the KAUST community of students by providing The International Baccalaureate (IB) programs of education in a holistic school environment. The TKS Teacher will help achieve the TKS goals by providing professional classroom instruction at either the elementary, middle and/or high school level and may teach one or more academic subjects or special areas ensuring that all students receive a superior educational program. The TKS teacher applies IB educational philosophy; with the content, scope and requirements of the subjects taught and using instructional materials. The aim is to achieve a stimulating learning environment that is aligned with the school’s mission, vision and culture.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform daily classroom teaching activities and engage in purposeful planning
• Define classroom achievement goals, practice technology-infused instruction, and plan individualized courses of study for students
• Work in cooperation with other teachers, curriculum coordinators, administrators and other school personnel
• Evaluate student progress using research-based formative and summative assessment practices on a regular basis
• Ability to work enthusiastically and supportively with students
• Communicate students' progress to parents and engage them in their children's learning
• Recommend and implement remedial or enrichment activities
• Participate in co-and/or extra- curricular school activities
• Assist in the design and review of curriculum, in cooperation with educational specialists, curriculum coordinators, school administration and peers
• Awareness of specific learning profiles to adapt curriculum design, implement, evaluate and record

• Present a positive image by modeling the school’s values and culture
• Experience working in multi-cultural environments and demonstrating intercultural understanding

QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum two years of International Baccalaureate (IB) teaching experience in subject/area applying for
• Teaching degree and certification, or equivalent in subject/area applying for and minimum Bachelor's degree
• Experience and training in PYP/MYP/DP
• International school teaching experience is preferred
• Excellent references
• Excellent command of oral and written English Language
• English as a Second Language training and experience is preferred

- Subsidized annual rent to be paid by the employee, deducted from the salary (subject to change) are attached
- Rent will not exceed 25% of base salary of the house teachers are eligible for.

Flights/Transport
Reimbursement for one economy class return ticket provided for dependent child(ren) enrolled as a full time student in an undergraduate college or university program, to visit parents at KAUST twice per school year (subject to capped amount, determined by country).

Moving Allowance
15% of annual base salary, a fixed one-time payment per family
(in case of a teaching couple, this is calculated using the base salary of the highest earner),
