The teacher will provide students with a positive, supportive environment conducive to learning. The teacher will teach and assess the planned curriculum. The Teacher will assess student’s achievement of the published standards. The Teacher will be a role model in developing good citizens. The Teacher will contribute to the achievement of the school’s mission and goals as well as upholds the policies and procedures of the Bayan School.
Knowledge of Subject Matter Planning
Understands and embraces the philosophy and goals underlying the department curriculum.
Reflects a thorough knowledge of the subject matter.
Follows the written curriculum and year plans articulated in the curriculum.
Participates in curriculum development collaboratively with grade level colleagues, and the department and curriculum coordinators.
Updates all curriculum developments online and in the curriculum binder.
Prepares weekly plans and submits them to the department coordinator.
II. Classroom Instruction and Provision of Conducive Learning Environment
Promotes self-directed, reflective learning for all students.
Provides a student-centered environment in which active learning is promoted.
Keeps students engaged in appropriately challenging activities, which lead to inquiry, independence and higher order thinking skills.

Records and submits all significant parent communications to the office.
Maintains an accurate inventory of books and follows-up on lost books.
Carefully collects and turns in all forms, papers, grades, reports, field trip money, lost book money etc. on time.
Follows the appropriate procedures for student discipline.
Maintains accurate and detailed records of attendance and tardiness.
V. Professional Development
Is actively involved in professional development activities, including attending conferences,
workshops and reading professional literature.
Keeps abreast of developments in education and assigned areas of specialty.
Works cooperatively and constructively with colleagues to positively support program initiatives.

Brings students on time and supervises the area offering a safe environment.
Attends all the department and school meetings as requested by the school principal or the Director General..
Is prompt for break duty and actively supervises the area offering a safe environment..
Follows the appropriate procedures for student supervision: is punctual, never leaves students unattended, and supervises student arrival and dismissal.
Supervises at least one after-school event.
Assists, follows and completes any other duties as assigned by the principal.
Wears appropriate professional dress.
Follows the appropriate chain of communication.
Obtains principal’s approval of all written correspondences to groups of parents, and/or documents to be disseminated outside of school.
