We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Lower Primary Homeroom Teacher to join our team. Our Lower Primary programme is based on the principles of learning through play, and we are looking for a candidate who is experienced in, and passionate about, implementing this approach at the Key Stage 1 (KS1) level. This position may suit someone with a background in KS1, Early Years (EY), or Kindergarten education.

The teacher is responsible for creating an engaging and nurturing educational environment where students have the opportunity to fulfil their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, spiritual, and psychological growth. The successful candidate will organise and deliver a play-based instructional programme, fostering creativity and curiosity while supporting students’ academic progress in line with Panyaden’s holistic curricula. Planning and delivery will be in collaboration with a Thai co-teacher, ensuring a dual-language and culturally rich experience.

We seek an individual who is open to integrating Panyaden’s Buddhist approach and 12 Wise Habits into classroom practices, fostering students' spiritual and emotional development. Ideal candidates are committed to their own personal growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:
-Create an inclusive learning environment: Foster a classroom atmosphere that promotes student agency and engagement, ensuring all learners, regardless of background or ability, feel supported. Incorporate principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) to meet diverse learning needs.
-Collaborate for student success: Work closely with a Thai co-teacher to plan, deliver, and assess learning programmes that balance academic, emotional, and social growth. Maintain flexibility and adaptability in co-teaching roles.
-Promote holistic development: Lead students in their spiritual growth, in line with Panyaden’s 12 Wise Habits and Buddhist principles. Model compassionate communication, mindfulness, and emotional regulation in daily classroom interactions.
-Utilise data to inform practice: Collect and analyse various forms of data to guide instruction and ensure personalised learning support for each student. Track and monitor student progress to foster continual growth.
-Engage with the community: Build strong relationships with students, parents, and fellow staff members. Contribute to the broader school community by participating in extracurricular activities, social events, and school representation, promoting a sense of belonging and connection.
-Create a warm, inclusive environment: Establish a positive, play-centred classroom that encourages students to develop a love for learning and fosters a sense of belonging and confidence.
-Promote student well-being: Ensure students’ physical and emotional safety through effective classroom management and the promotion of self-regulation skills, following Conscious Discipline principles.
-Engage with parents and the school community: Build strong partnerships with parents and staff, contributing to the school’s vibrant community and fostering open communication about student progress.

Key Requirements:
-Proven experience working with young children in a play-based, student-centred learning environment, ideally within KS1 or Early Years.
-Commitment to inclusive education, with the ability to implement strategies like Universal Design for Learning (UDL) to support all learners.
-Familiarity with classroom management techniques aligned with Conscious Discipline, promoting self-regulation, accountability, and intrinsic motivation.
-Strong understanding of play-based learning principles and how to apply them at the Lower Primary level.
-Openness to integrating Panyaden’s Buddhist approach and values-based education into classroom practices.
-Ability to collaborate effectively with a co-teacher to create a rich, dual-language learning experience.
-Excellent communication skills and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
-Commitment to professional growth and embodying the school’s holistic educational philosophy.
-Experience in an international or values-based education setting is preferred.
-Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Education or a related field.
-Openness to the school's Buddhist approach for personal development
