Remuneration
The British International School, Cairo (BISC) operates a similar teaching scale to schools in the UK which increases with teaching experience. All salaries are tax free and paid in Pounds Sterling. The current basic salary for a teacher with three years’ experience is £34,000 p.a. while the salary of the majority of staff (six years experience or more) is over £40,000 p.a.
In addition all overseas contract teachers benefit from a generous housing allowance, private BUPA Gold medical insurance, annual return flights to the UK, and 2 free places for children of school age.

The initial deadline for receipt of applications is 9th October 2023. The school reserves the right to interview potential appointees and to make an appointment before the deadline date. Thus early applications are encouraged. Longlist interviews will be virtual and will take place from Monday 9th Oct 2023. Final interviews will be in London on the 19th and 20th Oct 2023.
The ability to provide a 20 minute teaching video would be advantageous.
