HS Science Teacher with AP Env Science and/or AP Biology teaching experience

Position: HS Science Teacher with AP Env Science and/or AP Biology teaching experience

ISB seeks a High School Science teacher with skill and experience teaching either AP Environmental Science or AP Biology and General Science at the High School level. The successful candidate is an excellent teacher, a team player, a positive collaborator, uses technology appropriately, is student-centered, and ignites students’ interest in Science through their passion and engaging and up-to-date pedagogy.

Qualifications and Experience:
Teaching license or certification and subject expertise in the primary area of employment.
At least 3 years of relevant and recent teaching experience.
Relevant experience in a related field/industry is advantageous.

Pedagogical Practice requirements:
Has an Inquiry-based approach to teaching and learning
Ability to adapt teaching to the context
Highly Skilled in using a varied pedagogical and assessment toolkit
Is able to challenge and extend all learners
Can integrate the teaching of skills to prepare students for life beyond the classroom
Identifies, selects, and modifies instructional resources to meet the needs of students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs.
Demonstrated skill at differentiating within the classroom for students of mixed abilities
Uses data to improve learning
