About BASIS International School Hangzhou

BASIS International School Hangzhou opened in 2018, and was the first BASIS International School in China outside of Guangdong province. The school welcomes students in Grades Pre-K – 12 and celebrated its first graduates in 2022. As a History teacher, you build upon this strong foundation, teaching students world history as a means to develop global perspectives and understand how and why historical events happened. You cover a wide variety of topics focused on the five major geographical regions of the globe, such as culture, economic systems, social structures, and major historical events. You also collaborate with fellow teachers to tie in lessons with what students are learning in other subjects, such as music and art.

You will also:

Guide students in pursuing academic achievement, personal responsibility, and intellect

Work Experience

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in your subject area.
Experience: At least two years as the lead teacher in a classroom, a requirement for obtaining a working visa.

Accommodation

Furnished housing is provided by the school. A housing allowance in lieu of provided housing is also
available as an alternate option.
