The Position
ISB seeks a High School English and English as a Second Language teacher with skill and experience teaching EAL students from Grade 9 through IB Diploma level. The successful candidate for this position is an excellent teacher, a team player, a positive collaborator, uses technology appropriately, is student-centered, and ignites students’ interest in English through their passion and their engaging and up to date pedagogy.

Preferred Qualities and Experience Sought
Advanced training (Master’s degree in relevant field)
EAL / ESL certification and experience
Experience teaching IB Diploma English B preferred.
Experience in co-teaching or push-in support.
Successful experience in progressive school settings
Demonstrated ability to work with groups, teams, and individuals
Positive and active communicator with students, colleagues, and the broader community
Strong interpersonal skills
Personable, forward thinker and student-centered
