The Berlin Cosmopolitan School (BCS) is an international, non-profit school with a focus on science, music and dance. BCS has a kindergarten and preschool, as well as a primary school and a secondary school. The Kindergarten and Preschool were founded in 2004, the Primary School in 2007 and the Secondary School in 2009. BCS with its two campuses is located in the centre of Berlin Mitte, a quiet area between Alexanderplatz, Monbijou Park, Hackescher Markt & Prenzlauer Berg. Over 820 children and students as well as 180 staff members from over 45 countries belong to the Berlin Cosmopolitan School community. At BCS, students are encouraged to become active and responsible global citizens. This includes strong academic skills and multilingualism as well as the development of social and intercultural competencies. An individual education and good academic, emotional and physical balance are paramount at BCS. We are currently looking for a: English-Speaking Primary School Classroom Teacher (m/f/d)

Role Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic English-speaking Primary School Classroom Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Grades 1-6 in a bilingual environment, promoting inclusive kinaesthetic learning experiences in the outdoor classroom in nature, and implementing the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles, incorporating kinaesthetic learning methodologies.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued and respected.
- Utilise the outdoor environment as an extension of the classroom, integrating nature-based learning experiences into the curriculum.
- Collaborate with colleagues to implement the PYP curriculum, ensuring alignment with the school's educational philosophy and objectives.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of individual students, including those with special educational needs.
- Maintain open communication with parents and caregivers, providing regular updates on student progress and well-being.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, with a specialisation in Primary Teaching.
- Fluency in English is essential, with proficiency in German considered advantageous.
- Experience teaching in an international or bilingual school setting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of inclusive teaching practices and strategies for promoting diversity and equity.
- Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) is preferred.
- Additional qualifications or experience in special needs education are an advantage.
