Elementary STEM Teacher
Job/Position Summary
The KAUST School (TKS) aims to serve the KAUST community of students by providing The International Baccalaureate (IB) programs of education in a holistic school environment. The TKS Teacher will help achieve the TKS goals by providing professional classroom instruction at either the elementary, middle and/or high school level and may teach one or more academic subjects or special areas ensuring that all students receive a superior educational program. The TKS teacher applies IB educational philosophy; with the content, scope and requirements of the subjects taught and using instructional materials. The aim is to achieve a stimulating learning environment that is aligned with the school’s mission, vision and culture.
Major Responsibilities
STEM is taught as a specialist class that all students participate in once a week. Some students also receive additional STEM lessons as part of an elective class selection. The STEM program is integrated where possible with the units of inquiry to provide authentic connection with the homeroom class. The Elementary STEM program partners with the university at KAUST to create collaborations around different projects as well as provide for guest speakers and field trips in connection with the STEM-related projects at the university.

Qualifications
• Minimum two years of International Baccalaureate (IB) teaching experience in subject/area applying for
• Teaching degree and certification, or equivalent in subject/area applying for and minimum Bachelor's degree
• Experience and training in PYP/MYP/DP
• International school teaching experience is preferred
• Excellent references
• Excellent command of oral and written English Language
• English as a Second Language training and experience is preferred

Reimbursement for one economy class return ticket provided for dependent child(ren) enrolled as a full time student in an undergraduate college or university program, to visit parents at KAUST twice per school year (subject to capped amount, determined by country).

Moving Allowance
15% of annual base salary, a fixed one-time payment per family
(in case of a teaching couple, this is calculated using the base salary of the highest earner),
