Position: ELC Homeroom Teacher

About the Role:
As an ELC Homeroom Teacher, you will play a vital role in fostering a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive environment for early learners. You will plan and deliver lessons aligned with the IB PYP curriculum, with a focus on building foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, and comprehension. Through play-based and hands-on learning, you will inspire curiosity, creativity, and social-emotional growth.
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons following the IB PYP curriculum framework.
Develop activities that build early literacy, numeracy, and comprehension skills.
Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that supports holistic development.
Foster curiosity and creativity through play-based and experiential learning.
Collaborate with grade-level teams and other educators on interdisciplinary projects.
Maintain open and effective communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the Early Years level.
Experience with the IB PYP curriculum is preferred.
Strong understanding of early literacy, numeracy, and comprehension development.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and students.
